The committee discussed the benefits of collaborating with the Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities and how this could be started.

There was an update on proposed reforms to the Advisory Boards and Committees:

• On September 19th, the City Council Committee of the Whole will be receiving and filing a report on the proposed rules for ABCs. At its Oct. 3 meeting, the Committee of the Whole is expected to approve a date for a public hearing.
• The new ordinance would go into effect July 31, 2024.
