- Council members forwarded without recommendation a proposed ordinance change to the Neighborhood Revitalization Program Policy Board. Council members said they were concerned about language missing in the ordinance surrounding absentee voting. The vote for the newly opened positions on the board is scheduled for the Community Connections Conference on February 17, 2024. Council members raised concerns that there isn’t enough notice for the election, and that it can be difficult to ensure a representative turnout on a Saturday.
- Approved updating an ordinance to remove outdated information and stigmatizing language toward people living with HIV and AIDS. The ordinance was approved over 35 years ago, before treatment was available.
- Approved Homegrown Minneapolis Food Council appointments for 2 year terms, beginning Jan 1, 2024.
