Board approves contract for South Moreland, Shaker Square, and North Moreland rehabilitation

Resolution 1. APPROVED
The Exclusive Protection
Services, LLC, as subcontractor to Universal
Protection Service, LLC d/b/a Allied
Universal Security Services, LLC under
Contract No. RC2022*83 for 2022-2025
Citywide Unarmed Uniformed Security
Services.

Airport PA system:
Contract with SoundComCorporation (Contract No. 2022*137) for installation of upgrades, maintenance, support, training for IED digital technology paging and sound systems at CHIA at not to exceed
year-1 ->$50,107
year-2 -> $41,245
year-3 -> $69,309


First proposed Capital Project (item 5 on agenda) would be a $371,344.13 contract with MKSK Inc to design and execute improvements to Calgary and Neff Parks.

Item 6 – Contract with HDR Engineering,
Inc. for engineering services for Superior
Midway bikeway improvement (Public
Square East Roadway to East 55th Street) and
approving various sub-consultants – not to
exceed $2,101,026, 30% of which,
$630,307.80, shall be paid by the City

Item 7 – Contract for Rockefeller Greenhouse. Amending Res. No. 478-22, adopted
(11-16-22), regarding previous proposals with “IKM Inc.” which is now doing business as “IKM Architecture”.

Item 8 – Authorizing license agreement with
Ameresco, Inc. to design/install/operate/
maintain roof-mounted and ground-mounted
photovoltaic panels, battery storage and other
related equipment to implement on-site Solar
Project at certain City facilities not powered
by CPP.

Item 8 (continued)– This contract is not to exceed
5 years, with 2 five-year renewal options and
approving various subcontractors.

Moving to community development there’s a contract with Terrace Construction Company, Inc. for improvement of South Moreland, Shaker
Square, North Moreland Rehabilitation from
Griffing Avenue to Larchmere Boulevard
and approving various subcontractors –
$8,854,972.42.

This Authorizes the Commissioner of Purchases
and Supplies, when directed by the Director
of Community Development, and requesting
the Mayor, to execute official deeds, per
Land Reutilization Program, selling the listed
parcels to the following purchasers.

The four percales being sold are:

- $200.00.
10 LST Investment Group, LLC, P.P. No. 111-
07-067 - $200.00.
11 Lacardaire M. Thedford, Jr., P.P. No. 134-
02-031 - $200.00.

Q: How many bikes lanes will there be?
A: We don’t know we’re still working on a bike count to try to understand the need.

Q: Who will own the batteries?
A: As of right now the developer would own the batteries, but that’s not what we’re asking for right now, we’re asking to enter into the design phase.
