There is a question in the room about itemizing hazards for actionable plans.
About 50,000 rentals are slipping through the cracks π«£!

They are talking about windows made of wood (possibly contaminated with lead) vs installing vinyl doors and windows.
Unfortunately, programs for window replacement have their own challenges π.

Lead Safe Applications have declined since the end of 2022 #Metrics https://t.co/cSEu1zIPpj

Lead safe application processing has slowed and some parties in the room are very UNHAPPY about it.

The local Lead Safe Resource Center is managed by the nonprofit Environmental Health Watch & is charged with operating a community-based location that makes available a wide range of information on lead safety. π€

The Center ASSISTS landlords and tenants, families impacted by lead, and the general community in understanding information and accessing available resources.
This Center also offers training to individuals to LEARN to test properties and remediate lead risk hazards.

Other cities have higher rates of Lead law compliance π ouch.
(At least Clevelanders have better #AirQuality that NY this week π€·πΎββοΈ)

Comments from the Lead safe comment portal show some public concern about getting in contact with the lead safe resource center π.
