Englewood police district council discusses its role in the community
Good evening! I’ll be live-tweeting the 7th Police District Council - Englewood meeting for @CHIdocumenters #CHIdocumenters. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is taking place at the Kelly Branch, Chicago Public Library on 6151 S. Normal Ave.

On to the next item on the agenda; Public commentary. No public commentary at the moment. But more community members are filing in.

District council members are now delivering updates on upcoming events in the 20th Ward.

Public comments that were just submitted begin. Mr. Johnson from the 17th ward is attending the meeting to address low voter turnout/civic engagement in neighboring communities.

Ms. Miller, a community organizer from the neighborhood has asked if alderpeople have direct contact with 311 to address Englewood resident’s complaints.

This meeting was put together in a week. Council members are detailing their roles to the community members.



District Council member Williams ends his presentation. The next meeting is undetermined but will take place in June. With no further business, there’s a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded. Meeting adjourned.
