Franklin Township Schools approved a new 5-year strategic plan and expanded pay bonuses for K–12 EBC teachers. Board member Dawn Downer also spotlighted Central Nine’s adult ed programs, offering hands-on career training for learners as young as 16.

Board member Dawn A. Downer discussed the Central Nine reports and their efforts with high school students. Central Nine is known for working with students interested in trades and apprenticeships. The motion carried, all in favor.

Dr. Lynlie Schoene, who discussed Action Item d), stated that the contractor had done well in previous years. The reason why the EARS contract motioned this year is due to its success with students and the school.

The board meeting overall went smoothly and was short, yet manageable. Summer reports and meetings are slow, but are still essential for Franklin Township.
